The term “personally identifiable information” or PII, used throughout this statement, means any information that could be used to identify you. Examples include your name, address, or phone number.

Information collected automatically. UIDN will never ask for personally identifiable information (PII) from anyone visiting or reading any part of our website. However, to help us understand how the site is used and what would make it more helpful, we automatically collect and store the following information :

  • The internet domain (for example, “xcompany.com”) and/or IP address (automatically assigned to your device) you use to reach our site;
  • The application, browser, and/or operating system you used to enter our site;
  • The date and time you visited our site and the pages you visited;
  • If you linked to our web site from another site, the address of that site.

Donor Privacy

UIDN will not sell, share, or trade donors’ information with any other group. We also will not send mailings on behalf of other organizations.

This policy applies to all information received online and offline on any website or mobile application, as well as other electronic, written, or oral communications.

When donations are processed through a third-party, such as a credit card company, donors’ information will be used only as required to process the contribution.

Information UIDN may request. If you take an action, for example, ask questions, request information, make a comment, sign up for emails, volunteer, or donate, we may ask you for personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, address, email address, or phone number. We will only require information we need to complete your action or request. We may ask for additional information to better understand your interests and needs, but we will remind you that you need not provide it.

UIDN does not share PII with outside parties, except in the case of donors when it is necessary to transmit information to complete the contribution. Please see the Donor Privacy Statement at right.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain accuracy, and ensure appropriate use of information, we have administrative, physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard information. While we safeguard information to the fullest extent possible, we cannot guarantee absolute security and cannot be responsible for the security of information you share with us.
