• UIDN mourns the passing of former board member, Graciela Conkright

When Graciela moved to Kingston, having been executive director of the Westchester Hispanic Coalition for 25 years, she was eager to offer UIDN the fruits of her experience. Graciela was happy to take on any task, big or small. She was a joy to work with — and to know — and will be greatly missed.

Our Mission

UIDN’s mission: To provide a network of safety and support to immigrants, regardless of status.

Our vision: A society where everyone is welcomed, respected, and safe.

Our values: UIDN is committed to building a world of racial justice, equity and inclusion, and respect for diversity.

We seek to bring such a world into being by fighting all forms of racism and xenophobia; listening to the voices of the most impacted communities; and seeking dialogue with others who work for racial, social, economic, and environmental justice.
