Environmentalist Bill McKibben says solar gives us a fighting chance to stay ahead of catastrophic climate change. UIDN supports that goal along with environmental justice. That’s one reason we’re happy to offer our Ulster County friends an opportunity to get the benefits of clean energy through Mid-Hudson Community Solar.
If you are enrolled in a public benefits program such as Medicare, Medicaid, Section 8 HEAP, SNAP, Empower+, Temporary Assistance, or Disability you are eligible for this program. If you are eligible for one of these programs but are not enrolled, Mid-Hudson will help you sign up.
You’ll continue to receive electricity from your utility company, without installing any equipment. You’ll receive credit on your electric bill as a shared renewable project pumps clean energy into the local power grid.
No need to install solar panels, just sign up here. When you do, you’ll receive $100 and UIDN will receive $100.
