- Mobile Mental Health Team, weekdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Telephone support, in-person outreach, and crisis intervention to anyone in Ulster County in their home, at school or in the community at no cost. Spanish speakers/interpreters available. 888-277-4820.
- Mental Health & Substance Use Urgent Care, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday-Friday, 368 Broadway, #205, Kingston, and 24/7 by phone – 888-750-2266, option 2. Adults and children with mental health and/or substance use concerns can walk in, with no appointment, referral, or insurance necessary.

Coordinated Children’s Services is a free program of the Ulster County Department of Social Services, for children and youth up to age 17. CCS works collaboratively with other groups to reduce at-risk behaviors, support families, and avoid sending children to residential facilities. Website available in Spanish and English. Family Services, behavioral health and prevention services for all ages — regardless of ability to pay — in Ulster, Dutchess, and Orange counties. Ulster County centers offer individual and grop therapy for ages 18 and up.

- Adult day programs: classroom- and community-based educational and recreational activities, skill-building, and socializing for adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
- Residential services: supported and certified housing for individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder, or intellectual disabilities, plus veterans, women and children, and those experiencing homelessness. s

Maverick Psychotherapy Group helps individuals, couples, families, and groups. The website is English only but the practice includes Spanish-speaking therapists. Wellness Support Groups include a wide range of free training and support (autism support to yoga) for participants, their family members, and the general public run by staff or qualified facilitators. ORACLE (Opioid Response as County Law Enforcement) is the Ulster County Sheriff’s free help for individuals struggling with substance use — without fear of arrest. Services include: confidential connections to treatment, recovery support, community resources, and a non-punitive pathway focused on treatment and recovery.

- Ulster County Crisis Stabilization Center, Center for Wellbeing, 368 Broadway, Kingston, is a free 24/7 hub connecting people with mental health or psychological distress to counselors, peer specialists, and behavioral health professionals. - Rose Houses are 24/7 free, short-term crisis alternatives to hospital psychiatric ERs and inpatient units. They are home-like situations operated by peers who with personal lived experiences. Town of New Paltz Office for Community Wellness (845-256-5014) offers free Narcan training every Sunday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., New Paltz Open Air Market, 45 Main Street, and occasionally via Zoom. Training takes about 10 minutes. Leave with a free kit and resources. Get details. Free Narcan kits are available at community pick-up spots and via home delivery to addresses in Ulster, Dutchess, Orange, and Sullivan counties.

New Paltz Opioid Overdose Prevention & Response Team is a partnership working to address community needs and provide hope and help to those facing the challenges caused by a substance use disorder. Services include life and work skills, benefits counseling, transition services, peer support, deaf community space and support, nursing home deferment, and community re-engagement.
