What’s the difference between giving friendly advice and the unauthorized practice of law? Join the New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) to understand why this distinction is essential. Through real-world case studies and discussion, participants will gain practical insights to navigate legal boundaries confidently. The session will be led by Yael Ben Tov, JD, director of training & technical assistance NYIC.
Registration will close Friday, April 25, 5pm. The program is free to staff and volunteers of New York-based nonprofit groups thanks to funding from the NYS Office for New Americans. Private attorneys: $50. Government employees: $40.
