This free training is offered by the Columbia County Sanctuary Movement (CCSM). They will discuss best practices and a protocol for communities of faith encountering immigration enforcement agencies.
Additionally, they will conduct a mini-know your rights training specific to houses of worship. Participants will get some time during the training to begin their protocol and ask clarifying questions of facilitators.
CCSM staff will be joined by Diego Alcalá Laboy, assistant professor at Albany Law School to discuss the unique rights of communities of faith. Please note: registration will close at noon on Wednesday April 15.
