International Human Rights Day 2025: Global Impact Briefing

December 10, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Human Rights First — the group representing Ali, the Bard student detained by ICE earlier this fall — offers an inside look at its global human rights impact in 2025 and an early preview of priorities in 2026. Free but registration required. The briefing will feature subject-matter experts discussing how HRF:

  • Advances accountability, supports people in conflict zones, and protects refugees and others seeking safety.
  • Is learning from partners worldwide.
  • Reinforces accountability systems and sustains reporting in places where civic space is under strain.
  • Plans to deepen partnerships, expand multilateral strategies, and shape a renewed framework for human rights leadership in 2026.

Presenters: Uzra Zeya, president & CEO; Brian Dooley, senior advisor, Human Rights Defenders; Eleanor Acer, senior director, Global Humanitarian Protection; Adam Keith, senior director, Accountability; and Josh Colangelo-Bryan, special counsel, Strategic Litigation.
