
This training is for staff and volunteers of NY-based non-profit groups and is free of charge thanks to funding from the NYS Office for New Americans. This virtual training will detail recognition and accreditation for Department of Justice (DOJ) certification that allows non-attorney staff and volunteers with non-profit agencies to provide immigration legal services and represent clients before agencies of DHS.
Learn about the requirements and process for submitting both new and renewal applications for DOJ recognition for non-profit organizations and DOJ accreditation for the organization’s staff. This training will be led by Hajra Ilyas and Johanna Miller at New York Immigration Coalition. CLE Credit is not available. Registration will close Friday, May 23, 3 p.m.
