Free one-hour webinar for educators and other school staff. Learn about strategies for creating safe, inclusive, and protective learning environments for immigrant students. Presenters will share insights related to preparation, protections against immigration enforcement in schools, and language access requirements.
By highlighting relationships between policy and practice, the webinar aims to provide guidance on how to integrate the two so that participant leave with concrete ways to advocate for students at the local and state levels and create safe and inclusive schools and classrooms that help students and families thrive. After the webinar, participants may choose to engage in 30 minutes of smaller group discussions to deepen understanding, share and learn about promising practices with colleagues, and apply strategies to their context.
