Amnesty International Mid-Hudson invites you to continue a conversation begun last year with Sarah Towle, author of Crossing the Line: Finding America in the Borderlands.
Ken Burns called the book “Spectacular!” Adding, “We all deserve a narrative with clarity, and Towle has delivered.”
Sarah will make the case for voting this November and describe a nationwide campaign to divest from a detention-to-deportation pipeline hiding in many pension plans and retirement portfolios and benefiting no one except “demagogues and profiteers.”
Pizza will be served. Sarah’s books will be available for purchase and for signing. Seating is limited. Register here.
