With all the talk — and media coverage — about Flock and other surveillance cameras, maybe you’ve been wondering about the situation here. According to an August 27 story from the Daily Freeman, there are cameras (made by Motorola) in Kingston.

Police Chief Egidio Tinti told the Freeman that “the equipment is owned outright by the city and is maintained by the city’s IT department, which also manages administrative changes and software updates.” Furthermore, Tinti said, “any data collected is strictly the department’s data….We do not share data” with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
