U.S. Rep. Pat Ryan, D-Gardiner, who represents the 18th Congressional District, said that Senator “Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma has no conceivable credentials to become secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. On March 6, the Daily Freeman reported Ryan’s comments, in an article by Paul Kirby, including the following:

“Kristi Noem fundamentally betrayed the American people,” Ryan said in an emailed statement when asked for comment. “Under her watch, ICE killed civilians, deported veterans, and kidnapped children. She had to go.

“But Senator Mullin is…even more sensationalist, more volatile, and more blindly loyal to the President. He’s tried to get into fist fights on the Senate floor. He constantly implies he’s served when he’s never worn the uniform a day in his life.” Read the full article here.
