Drivers to transport people to important legal and medical appointments, and to drive members of UIDN’s new workers’ co-op, Blooming Queens of Clean, to and from jobs that cannot be reached by public transportation.

Childcare volunteer with some middle-childhood education experience to offer creative enrichment to children during meetings of UIDN’s Academy for Immigrant Women. Meetings take place every other Saturday, 12:30-3:00, beginning on February 10 and ending in June. No Spanish needed.

Bilingual helpline volunteers (Spanish/English) to work remotely or in shifts at our Kingston office. After an orientation, volunteers provide assistance and referrals by phone, choosing their own hours. Must have access to a phone and computer. Minimum commitment: two hours a week for at least 10 weeks.

Volunteers with trucks or vans to pick up and deliver food and furniture. Details.

Household support: Help with weekly Kingston food pantries where families can pick up groceries and other needed items. Donate or identify sources for  needed items and drop them off by prior arrangement. Get details here.
