SUMMARY:Know Your Rights\, Part 2: Library FAQs Online
DESCRIPTION:This session is a facilitated Q&A with the New York Immigration Coalition about libraries’ specific role in protecting staff and patrons who may be vulnerable to immigration and law enforcement agencies. This is not a presentation or traditional webinar. Questions submitted\nwith registration forms will be prioritized. \n \nPlease note that specific questions regarding legal issues cannot be answered without a lawyer present. The FAQ discussion will focus on the general roles and responsibilities that library staff can take when interacting\nwith immigration agencies. \nThis public program is made possible by federal Library Service and Technology Act funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services\, which enable the New York State Library to champion lifelong learning. \n
