On December 18 more than a dozen protesters including UIDN’s Emma Kreyche staged a sit-in at U.S. Rep. John Faso’s hometown district office in Kinderhook. They demanded that Faso support a clean DREAM act and withhold his vote on the federal budget unless the act is included. Nine protesters were arrested in acts of civil disobedience.
The action was one of dozens of recent actions nationwide in support of passing a Clean DREAM Act on December 22. It was initiated by Columbia County Sanctuary Movement.
