Ulster Immigrant Defense Fund (UIDF) Provides Financial Assistance to Local DACA Recipients

The Ulster Immigrant Defense Fund (UIDF) is currently providing financial assistance to 5 local DACA recipients that will allow them to renew their DACA status before the October 5th deadline set under the Trump administration’s new DACA policies. These cases are ones of financial hardship. The renewal application requires payment of a $500 fee that many individuals cannot afford as an extra expense in addition to their daily living expenses. The UIDF is providing assistance to these 5 individuals in the form of payment in full of their renewal fees.

The UIDF will continue to identify and assist additional local DACA recipients in financial hardship in this way until the deadline. Please consider making a donation to the UIDF in order to help us provide opportunity and security from deportation to our local dreamers.
